This message was focused on giving God a chance to speak in our prayers. We must learn to be still and have more than a one-way conversation with our Lord and Saviour. In meditation we do not try to 'empty ourselves' or focus on nothingness and detachment, as some of the eastern religions teach, instead, we focus on God and His Word in order to allow Christ to speak to us, and strengthen our relationship with him.
Meditation: To think deeply and continually reflect on what you have heard or seen. To endeavor to understand to take pleasure in, thinking on the things of God.
Scriptures:
Isaiah 43: 18-19 Psalms 19:14 Psalms 1:1 Psalms 104:34 Revelation 3:20
